SINGAPORE - For Christmas, the parish of Sts. Peter and Paul is having a nine-day novena from Fri, Dec 16 which directs parishioners to do something good for humanity. The emphasis is on single mothers, migrant workers, and abused women in families and societies. The proceeds of all collections made during the weekday Masses on the nine days will be given to the Marymount Centre.
Other than once in 1989, this parish has never had RCIA conducted in English, so next year, it hopes to start one. It will cater to those who are in neighbouring SMU (Singapore Management University) as well as those who work in the city. Finally, the parish hopes to begin the renovation of the church, although approval has not yet been granted.
