SINGAPORE - Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, Apostolic Nuncio to Singapore, was at the Church of St. Teresa on Oct 2 to celebrate the feast of its patron saint and preside over the blessing of the new altar (photo). The altar was erected during the church's recent renovations.

The church is now fully air-conditioned. This and state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment contribute to enhancing the celebration of the liturgy especially the Eucharist.

Archbishop Nicholas Chia was also at the church to bless the columbarium on the Feast of All Souls and the urns of Father Emile Mariette, the founding father of the church, and Father Stephen Lee, the builder and first parish priest of the church, were installed at the columbarium, below the figure of the Risen Christ.

An anniversary coffee-table book entitled "Monument of Love" has been published to chronicle the contribution of the fathers during the Church of St. Teresa's early years.
