At a special dinner commemorating the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood, Father Anthony Ho reminded all seminarians present to persevere in their vocation.
During the Dec 7 celebration at St Anne’s Church, Fr Anthony, 76, celebrated the Mass and was joined by 50 priests led by Archbishop Emeritus John Ha from Kuching, Malaysia, and Bishop John Bosco Panya from the Diocese of Ratchaburi, Thailand.
The celebration also marked parish priest Fr Francis Lee’s 43rd anniversary in the priesthood.
The dinner was attended by more than 900 friends and family including priests, seminarians and Religious.
Fr Anthony thanked all present and especially Fr Francis, 69, for hosting the celebration in the parish with the nostalgic charm of a simple kampong spirit celebration.
In an effort to promote vocations, a Triduum celebration was held from Dec 5-7 leading to the dinner. The theme for the Triduum was “I have come to serve and not to be served” (Matthew 20:28).
