The leader of the Roman Catholic Church in Singapore, His Grace Archbishop William Goh, has expressed sorrow over the tragic events that have taken place in London:
“We are saddened to hear of the terrorist attack in the heart of London, the symbol of democracy and law. We are outraged at such insane and inhumane actions.
“We pray for those who lost their lives and also for the families coping with the loss of their loved ones.
“For the perpetrators of such crimes against humanity, we also pray that they will be enlightened in the truth and that their hearts will be moved by the sorrow and grief of the innocent; including their own loved ones who will be implicated by their senseless actions.
“We want to assure our Muslim friends of our solidarity with them in this difficult time as they work to protect the good name of Islam, a religion of peace.
“We will continue to work together to eradicate hatred and evil from society.”
