Archbishop Emeritus Nicholas Chia’s medical condition remains critical but stable, the Archbishop’s Office announced on Feb 24.
In an update on his condition, the office said: “The good news is that the bleeding in his head has stopped. However, due to the extent of injury caused by the fall, there is a large blood clot which the doctors are working to clear.
“Given his present condition and the fear of infection, no visitors will be allowed for the time being.” Archbishop Chia is now in a private ward.
“We request that you continue to pray for His Grace’s speedy recovery,” the Archbishop’s Office said.
