Fr Fabian Van Lieshout SSCC, a member of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary died in hospital on 22nd of January 2014.

Born Bernard Pieter Herman Joseph Van Lieshout on 6 February 1930, Fr Fabian entered minor seminary at Sacred Hearts, St. Oedenrode and major seminary in Valkenburg from 1950 to 1956.

He received sacerdotal ordination at Valkenburg on 4th September 1955.

Previous appointments had been as Regional Superior of the SS CC in England and Parish Priest at Great Missenden, Bucks, South East England.

He was posted to Singapore as assistant priest at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament from 1985 to 2000.

He was chaplain to the FMM sisters, Holland Road from 2000 to 2003 and has been in retirement since at their Gillman Heights accommodation.

In recent times, he was transferred to Bethany House for medical care and stay.

Funeral Mass will be at Church of Blessed Sacrament on Monday 27 Jan 2014 at 1:30pm. Cremation will be at 4:00pm at Mandai Crematorium.
