SINGAPORE - The Nanyang Technological University Catholic Students Apostolate (CSA) put up a Catholic Awareness Week (CAW) exhibition on campus from Jan 11-13, and a musical on Jan 14.

"It was rewarding to see people stop at our exhibition and ask ‘who is Jesus?' and spend 10 to 15 minutes (there)," said CSA president Peter Lin.

Among the activities were a talk by Brother Michael Broughton and another by the Apostolate for Catholic Truth. Although attendance was rather low "as CSA was busy preparing for the musical", Peter said that they had learnt from the experience and will try to "get more public interest" for the talks in future.

The musical titled "The Cross Road" was about humanity's quest for happiness. It was written by Christy Tania. "I liked the songs and the story," said Yolanda Sadikin, who had come because some of her friends were performing in the musical. "I learnt that when we feel down, we should not focus too much on our own sadness."
