More than 500 Indonesian Catholics living in Singapore attended Mass in Bahasa Indonesia on Dec 4 (photo) to mark the conclusion of the Eucharistic-themed retreat for the Indonesian Charismatic Catholic Holy Spirit Prayer Group (KKIHS). The Mass was celebrated by Father Yohanes Indrakusuma in the attic of the Church of the Holy Spirit.
In his homily, Father Yohanes emphasised that there is no such thing as a "healing Mass" because it implies that some Masses heal and others don't. He added that the Eucharist is the centre of every Catholic Mass and it is Jesus who heals all illnesses, predicaments and burdens.
During the Eucharistic adoration, there were testimonies of healing, such as a woman who testified to have been healed of wounds on the palate, and a young lady who claimed to have been cured of breast cancer.
(Mass in the Indonesian language is celebrated every first Sunday of the month in the chapel at the Church of the Holy Spirit. All are welcome.)
