There is a fine line between religious freedom in the United States and her constitutional obligation towards the separation of Church and state.

I agree with President Barack Obama’s comment, “No woman’s health should depend on who she is, who she works for, or how much money she makes.” (Contraceptive Mandate, CN, Feb 26).

While Cardinal-designate Timothy M Dolan has the right to develop programmes that will discourage women from using contraceptives, the state must provide health services to ALL women regardless of how the Church judges her decisions.
