SINGAPORE – Art pieces by more than 20 artists will be displayed at the "Journey Into Life" exhibition at the Church of St. Mary of the Angels’ HeARTspace Open Studio below the church’s parish office.

In this exhibition, the participants of HeARTspace @ St. Mary’s share how the creative process through visual art has contributed to their faith journey and how their faith journey has led to their creative self-expression.

The exhibition opens on Thursday Mar 27, at 8.00pm at the Piazza, and will run until Apr 6. The exhibition hours are 4.00-8.00pm on Mondays to Fridays, and 9.00am-8.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

HeARTspace is an art therapy ministry for anyone seeking to enhance his or her emotional, mental, and physical well-being. At the individual level, art therapy helps the participant to gain deeper self-awareness while group sessions provide a supportive environment to encourage empathy and understanding for self and others.

All are welcome to attend the art therapy sessions which run from 10.00am-1.00pm on Saturdays and 2.00-5.00pm on Mondays. The sessions are facilitated by art therapist Joanna Tan. Basic art materials are provided and artistic ability is not required to participate in or benefit from the sessions, since the focus is on the creative journey rather than the finished product.
