Members of Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) from Asia and Oceania will meet at the First Asia-Oceania CCR Conference in Punchak, Bogor Diocese, Indonesia from Sep 14-18 to promote unity, fellowship and exchange.
The International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (ICCRS) is recognized by the Vatican as a body for the promotion of Catholic charismatic renewal, which is in its 41st year. There are ICCRS regional sub-committees in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia-Oceania.
ISAO (ICCRS Sub-Committee for Asia-Oceania) was formed when 42 leaders from the Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Oceania met in Singapore in December 2006. Gerard Francisco from Singapore is secretary of the ISAO Executive Committee.
Speakers at the Punchak conference will include ICCRS president Michelle Moran and Bishop Joe Grech. Activities will include liturgical celebrations, teachings, praise and worship, workshops, healing, sharings and prayer for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
The conference will conclude with a "Revival & Healing Rally" in Jakarta, opened to the public.
