Archbishop William Goh DD will be away in Rome from 1st September 2014 to 23rd September 2014 for a seminar organized by the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples (CEP).

There are 92 Bishops appointed in the last two years in the ecclesiastical districts that depend on the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and will participate at the seminar organized by the CEP held in Rome. The 92 Bishops attending the seminar come from 42 countries: 25 from Africa (63 Bishops), 8 from Asia (17 Bishops), 6 from American (6 Bishops) and 3 from Oceania (6 Bishops). This seminar continues a tradition which was inaugurated by the CEP in 1994.

During the time of Archbishop William Goh's absence the two Vicars General will attend to the administration of the Archdiocese in accordance with their competences.

Mgr Rev Ambrose Vaz - general competences for all matters including pastoral matters pertaining to the Archdiocese.
Mgr Philip Heng SJ - competences for matters relating to Finance, Inter-Religious and Institutes of Consecrated Life.
