SINGAPORE – Staff and students of Nanyang Polytechnic gathered for Mass on campus on Jan 13 to mark the start of the school semester. It was organised by the polytechnic’s Legion of Mary.

"I’m happy that some of the staff came, not only just the students," Father Alex Chua said.

"It’s a good thing," said Andre Anchak, a staff who attended. "I know of a few students who are Catholic. If they know about this, hopefully it will grow to have more fellowship."

"The reason why we need to hold a campus Mass is to help give the Catholic students an avenue to enrich their faith so that their involvement in Catholic activities can extend beyond their own parishes," said Clare Therese, coordinator and a first-year student from the School of Health Sciences.

Clare hopes to make the Mass on campus a monthly event.
